It all began in January 2005 with my first Xanga post… back when I was a sophomore in high school and I thought I knew everything about everything (such as every teenage girl does) and of course I needed to document it all (although, I am glad I did because it’s always a good laugh readingĀ the things my 15 year old self wrote). As I transitioned into college, my blog was upgraded to Google’s Blogger, where I continued to write about teenage angst, boys and heartbreak…
So that leads us to here and now, this new blog. It’s almost been a year since I’ve earned my bachelor’s degree in English from UIC and I’ve got nothing to show for it other than a part-time job at Buffalo Wild Wings and now this blog.
This blog is going to be All-Things-Alyssa. But no, that doesn’t mean I’m going to write about how I lost another sock in the laundry or what Florence + the Machine song I just listened to, that’s what Twitter is for. My goal for this blog is to have it full of substance and insight on the things that matter to me in life which may include baking, running, God and whatever my heart desires for the day.
I’ve got a ridiculous passion for writing and this blog is going to be my outlet for that until someone will actually pay me to write. I’m excited for this and I hope you guys are ready to join me on this journey!

I’m really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?

I have not experienced any browser compatibility yet. I typically use Google Chrome and that seems to work well. If you use WordPress, there might be a Plugin that can help you. Hope you figure out a solution! Thanks for visiting my site!
